Thomas L. Allwein, 101, of ManorCare, and formerly of Quentin Road, Lebanon, died of natural causes Friday Jan. 25, 2002, in Lebanon's Good Samaritan Hospital. He was the husband of Lillian I. Frederick Allwein of Lebanon. Born June 29, 1900, in Lebanon, he was the son of the late Francis A. and Amanda Beamesderfer Allwein. He was a retired employee of the former Steffy Shoe Co. and was a member of St. Mary's Church.

Surviving in addition to his wife are daughter Pauline, wife of Frank Stoneseifer of Woodbury, N. J.; sisters Josephine Bunch of Annville and Jeanette Keefer of Lebanon; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by brothers James Allwein, Wayne Allwein, Clement Allwein, Mark Allwein, Carroll Allwein, Bernard Allwein and Frederick Allwein, and sister Catherine Cincel.

His funeral will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. in Thompson Funeral Home, 126 S. Ninth St. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. There is no viewing. Family will receive friends Wednesday from 9 a.m. to the time of service at the funeral home.
