Betty J. (Gerberich) Hetrick, 73, of 138 Lawn Road, Palmyra, PA, died Tuesday, February 22, 2005, at her residence.

Born July 15, 1931, in Palmyra, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Lucy Hetrick Gerberich.

She worked at H.B. Reese Candy Company as a Cupper, retiring after 35 years.

She attended Sherk's Church; she and her husband were married 50 years; her pride and joy were her grandchildren and she loved to shop.

Surviving are her husband, Kenneth W. Hetrick of Spangcrest Home, Lebanon; son, Scott M., husband of Mary Hetrick of Landisville; daughter, Stacey M., wife of Dennis Houser of Palmyra; sister, Kathryn DeLong of Hershey; brothers, George Gerberich of Elizabethtown, Ray "Chick" Gerberich of Hershey and sister, Beulah Shaffer of Hershey; and 4 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Beatrice Boyer, and brothers, Mahlon and Daniel Gerberich.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, February 25, 2005, at 2 p.m., in Rothermel Funeral Home, Inc., 25 W. Pine Street, Palmyra, with Chaplain Beverly Hicks of Hospice of Central PA officiating.

A viewing will be from 1-2 p.m. on Friday, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Grantville Cemetery, East Hanover Twp.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Hospice of Central PA, P.O. Box 266, 98 S. Enola Drive, Enola, PA 17025-0266.
