MR. RALPH ALDERMAN DEAD.
Well-Known Young Man Passed Away Yesterday - Funeral
Friends in the city will be grieved to learn of the death of Mr. Ralph R. Alderman, eldest son of the late Mr. Newton Alderman and his wife, Mrs. Lola Alderman, which occurred at the home of his mother on Red Cross street at noon yesterday. Mr. Alderman had been ill for some time and it was known that his condition was serious, although his friends and relatives hoped for his recovery until last.
Mr. Alderman was for several years in the employ of the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad Company. He was a young man of fine Cristian character, faithful to every duty and obligation in life. He was also one of the foremost members of the Boys' Brigade and always took great interest in the work of the organization.
The deceased was 21 years and six months of age and is survived by his mother, three sisters, Misses Ina, Florence and Pearl Alderman, and one brother, Mr. Owen Alderman. From boyhood he has been the support of his widowed mother, who, with the ether bereaved ones, will have the tenderest sympathy of many friends.
Following the funeral from the home today, by Rev. G. T. Adams, assisted by Rev. C. F. Whitlock, the remains will be taken to Atkinson for interment in the old family burying ground. The Boys' Brigade will escort the remains to the depot and the pall-bearers will be members of the organization.
