Young Man Passed Away at James Walker Memorial Hospital Last Night
After an illness of three weeks with typhoid fever, Mr. O. C. Alderman, son of Mrs. Lola B. Alderman, No. 611 Red Cross street, passed away at 10:15 o'clock last night at the James Walker Memorial Hospital. This announcement will come as a great shock to many friends. His age was 22 years and eight months. He had been employed for some time with the Atlantic Coast Line. He was taken ill after his return three weeks ago from City Point, Va., where he spent a week.
Surviving him besides his mother, widow of the late I. N. Alderman, are three sisters, Misses Ina, Florence and Pearl Alderman, all of Wilmington. He was a nephew of Mr. Owen Alderman, of Aiken, S. C., and Mr. Robert Alderman, of Moore's Creek in Pender county. They will have the tenderest sympathy of a host of friends in their bereavement.
The funeral arrangements will be made later, but the remains will be taken to Atkinson for burial, on the A. & Y. train tomorrow morning.
