TRIBUTE TO L.M. YATES

Brother L.M. Yates was made a Mason in Pine Stretch Lodge F. & A.M. some 26 years ago. Later he moved his Lodge relations to Loftin Lodge No. 688 F. & A.M. and was a member of this Lodge at his death. Brother Yates had been a Mason for 26 years. He loved his Lodge and gave to its support gladly. He filled different stations in the Lodge as protem. Brother Yates was born in the year 1889, and died Sept. 28th, 1944, age 55 years. He had been in declining health for some months before his death. Brother Yates leaves a wife and six children and one brother T.W. Yates and 3 sisters to mourn his
passing. His body was interred at Ephesus Cemetery, Heard County, on Sept. 29th. with Rev. W.H. Caldwell in charge of the services at the church and with Masonic services at the grave.

When the mists have rolled in splendor,
From the summit of the hills,
And the sunshine war and tender,
Falls in gisses on the rills,
We may read love's shining letters in the rainbow of the spray,
We shall know each other better when the mists have rolled away.
