Phillip Alexander Vaughn was the youngest son of Beverly Vaughn with his second wife, Fanny Chambers. He was born in York Twp, Clark Co, Illinois. He was a farmer and the father of nine children with Emily Rahel, only three of which lived to adulthood; Fannie Rebecca Vaughn (m. Jasper West), Sarah Edith Vaughn (m. Lyman H. Shonk), and my grandfather, Riley Jackson Vaughn (Chloe Ann Jenkins). Phillip was buried next to his daughter, Fannie Rebecca Vaughn West at Marshall City Cemetery, Marshall, Clark, Illinois.
