Beverley Vaughn was the second son of John Vaughan and Nancy Callicott. Beverley and his brother James were born in Antrim Parish, Halifax County, Virginia.

There is NO MIDDLE INITIAL for this Beverley Vaughn and no second "a" for this line of Vaughn's. Beverly R. Vaughan and Beverly K Vaughan were from Isle of Wight, and are father/son but, as far as is known, they are Not RELATED to this Beverley Vaughn. Also this Beverley Vaughn was only married twice. He did not marry Elizabeth Burrus 1832, Elizabeth McCarter in 1833, Mary Ratcliff 1842 or Mary Ann Bostic 1856.

After his first wife, Sarah Burnett divorced him in 1849, he remarried to Frances "Fanny" Chambers Miner in 1850, in York, Clark County, Illinois.

It is believed that his wife, Fanny Chambers died sometime between 1851-1855 as we find their son Phillip A. Vaughn living with his maternal uncle, Phillip A. Chambers & grandmother, Margaret Taylor Chambers in Edgar, Illinois in 1855. At this point, Beverley goes missing from records. Family legend says he went "south" to go hunting with family and was killed by a wild animal or Indians. It is still unknown as to what happened to him.

With that in mind, I've placed him in his family cemetery where his parents are buried as I understand there are several unmarked graves there. I will add updates as they are found. If you have ANY information or questions, please contact me.
