Fannie was the oldest of Emma & Phillip Vaughn's surviving children, and was named after both of her grandmothers; Fannie Chambers Vaughn & Rebecca Corbin Rahel. She had five children of her own and likely died due to childbirth complications of the sixth child. There is a tiny marble stone next her own grave, that is probably the baby who died. Her father Phillip, chose to be buried next to her with the baby's stone between them.

Fannie and her husband Jasper, who is buried next to her, were the parents of Everett, Russell, Edith, Rosa and Ruth West.

Newspaper clipping found in an old scrapbook:
"Obituary"
"Fanny Rebecca Vaughn, daughter of Phillip and Emma Vaughn, was born October 31, 1883 and departed this life May 21, 1919, aged 35 years 7 months and 21 days. She was united in marriage to Jasper West, May 30, 1902. To this union were born 6 children, three sons and three daughters. Two sons preceded her in death. There remains to mourn her loss one son, Russel, three daughters, Edith, Ruth and Flossie, a husband, father and step-mother, three brothers and five sisters and many other relatives and friends.
She united with the United Brethren Church at Centenary; west of town, when she was but 14 years of age. She often expressed her self, during her last sickness, as ready to go
Funeral services were held at the home Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock conducted by Rev. H.D. Hudson and burial was in Marshall cemetery."
