Mrs. Mary Josephine Trombley, 90, a life-long resident of this vicinity, passed away December 27, 1962 in the Mackinac Straits Hospital after a long illness. Her husband Louis, died on December 26, 1945.

Mrs. Trombley, born at Carp River, on March 10, 1872,
(she was babtised 11 April 1872 at St. Annes Church on Mackinac Island) and she married Louis A.E. Trombley in St. Ignace, on January 20, 1890. Fifteen children were born to this marriage, nine who survive Mrs. Trombley. There are 3 daughters; Mrs. Roy McElroy and Mrs. Francis Martin of St. Ignace and Mrs. Melvin Allen of the Soo, Edward of Drayton Plains, Arthur of Mt. Pleasant, Alfred of Monroe, Anthony of Cleveland, Oh., and John and Alex of St. Ignace.
