Henry Runnestrand, resident of Pennington county for 39 years, succumbed to a heart attack Thursday morning, January 28, at a local hospital. Last rites were conducted for him Wednesday, Feb. 3, at the Telemarken church with Rev. E. O. Sabo officiating, and interment was made in the Telemarken cemetery. Mr. Runnestrand was 68 years old.
The deceased was born January 20, 1875 at Carlton, Minn. As a youth he lived at Fordville, N. D. later moving to Marshall county. He homesteaded in Kratka township in 1904 where he resided until death. His marriage to Clara Tronnes took place on January 24, 1911.
Surviving are his wife, four sons, Louis in the U. S. service at Camp Hale, Colorado; Roy in the service somewhere overseas, Junior and Raymond at home; six daughters, Mrs. Mathias Nabben of Mavie, Mrs. Henry Schwartz of Holt, Mrs. Alfred Nabben of Mavie, Lorraine, Arlene, and Marilyn at home; one sister, Mrs. G. Gunderson of Scotsguard, Canada; and four grandchildren. A daughter, Annie, preceded him in death.
