Funeral services for Mrs. Clara Bertina Runnestrand are being held Tuesday, April 9 at the Telemarken Lutheran church, with Rev. Otto Dale officiating. Interment will be made in the Telemarken cemetery. Mrs. Runnestrand passed away April 5, at the age of 66 years.
Mrs. Runnestrand was born January 26, 1891 in Norman county and lived on a farm there until she was 10 years old when they moved to Clay county. About 1900 she came to Pennington county with her parents and lived in this city until 1904 when they moved to a farm in Kratka township, where she grew to womanhood.
She as united in marriage January 24, 1911 to Henry Runnestrand and they made their home on a farm in Kratka township where she resided until last fall when she moved into this city to make her home. She is a member of the Telemarken Lutheran church.
Survivors include six daughters: Mrs. Mathis Nabben (Hazel) of Brooks; Mrs. Henry Schwartz (Evelyn) of this city; Mrs. Orvis Sletten (Loraine) of this city; Mrs. Alfred (Cora) Nahmen of rural Thief River Falls; Mrs. Alfred Hagen (Arlene) of Joplin, Montana; Clarence Sletten (Marilyn) of this city; four sons, Lewis, Roy, Henry Jr. and Raymond all of Goodridge; eight grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Sam Seley (Hannah) of Oregon; Mrs. Raymond Stevens (Mabel) of Washington; Mrs. Frank Cole (Esther) of Washington; Mrs. Ruth Courtney of Oregon; five brothers, Ed of rural Thief River Falls; Elmer of Bagley and Arthur, Thalis and Albert all of Washington. She was preceded in death by her husband and one infant daughter.
