Ortega; son Roger Ortega; granddaughter JoAnn Ortega; grandson Michael Ortega; parents José Simón and Beatrice Vigil; in-laws Rumaldo and Rosarito Ortega; brothers: Elias, Tomás, Damacio, Liborio and Emiterio Vigil; sisters: Eremita and Leonardita Vigil; brothers-in-law: Juan M. Ortega, Felix Ortega, Ben Rivera and Marcos Vigil; sisters-in-law: Martína and María Vigil and Trinidad and Apolonia Ortega.

Public visitation and Rosary were on 1 February 2013 in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory. Mass of Christian burial was on 2 February 2013 at the Holy Family Catholic Church in Chimayó. Burial followed in the Potrero Catholic Cemetery in Chimayó.
