The death of Mrs. P. C. Christensen occurred at her home here last Thursday morning, Feb. 24, after an illness of several weeks. Mary C. Madsen was born in Denmark Oct. 11, 1846 and was eighty years, four months and twelve days old at the time of her death. She came to this country when a young woman. She was married to Peter C. Christensen and they came to Herman about 35 years ago. She is survived by her aged husband and two sons, John H. of Blair and Charles P. of Linden, Calif. She was a kind and loving mother and a true and faithful friend. Funeral services were held at the Baptist Church here Saturday at 2:00 p.m. in charge of Rev. T. J. Reese, assisted by Rev. Chas. D. Herring of the St. Mary’s Episcopal Church of Blair. Interment was made in the Blair Cemetery.

HERMAN

Mary C. Madsen was born in Denmark Oct. 11, 1846, and passed away at her home Feb. 24, 1927, being eighty years, four months and thirteen days old at the time of her death. She was married fifty four years ago to Peter C. Christensen. They came to Nebraska and settled on a farm west of Herman where they resided for a number of years, moving to Herman later where they have lived for about thirty years. Mrs. Christensen was a loving wife and mother and a good neighbor and will be greatly missed by her large circle of friends. The funeral services were conducted Saturday afternoon at two o’clock from the Baptist church, Rev. T. J. Reese officiating. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband and two sons, Charles P. of Linden, California and John H. of Blair. Mrs. C. E. Johnson, Miss Eledice Godsey, Fred Robertson and C. R. Gray furnished the music with Mrs. L. V. Ackerman at the piano. Burial was made in the Blair cemetery. The community extend their sympathy to the bereaved husband and sons in the loss of their wife and mother.
