Mr. Lewis B. Williams Sr., 80, of 1433 Wagener Trail Road, died Thursday, Dec. 26, 1996, at Pepper Hill Nursing Center.

The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church of Wagener with the Rev. David Robinson officiating. Burial will be in Wagener Cemetery.

Mr. Williams, a native of Aiken County, was a farmer. He was a World War II veteran and received the Prisoner of War Medal, the Good Conduct Medal, the Victory Medal, the World War II American Defense Medal, the American Campaign Medal, the European African Middle Eastern Campaign Medal, the Expert Rifleman's Medal and the Combal Infantry Medal.

Mr. Williams was a member of First Baptist Church, of Wagener, Disabled American Veterans, Veterans of Foreign Wars, the American Legion, local and national, Ex-Prisoners of War, and Cedar Lodge No. 184.

Survivors include his wife, Lucille King Williams; three sons, Lewis B. Williams Jr., Aiken, Tom A. Williams, Nashville, Tenn., and David M. Williams, Wagener; a brother, Yank Williams, Salley; and eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Ronnie Toole, Stanley Hunnicutt, Doug Busbee, William Bodie, Richard Brinkley, Jimmie Busbee and Hoyt Poole.

Blizzard Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
