Conduct Funeral For River Victim

Frank E. "Pat" Brooks, whose body was recovered from the Yellowstone River Sunday and buried in Custer Cemetery, Custer, MT., following funeral services Monday.

He has lived in the vicinity of Custer for about three years.

He was married May 6, of this year to Alvina Thompson at Hardin, MT.

The funeral conducted at the grave on account of the condition of his body, was in charge of the Rev. N. E. Hannant, Pastor of the Congregational Church.

Two selections were sung by Mrs. G.A. Ving, Mrs. Charles S. Cassidy, Mrs. John Gremmer, Mrs. J. I. Westphal and Levi Daniels.

Pallbearers were Howard Butler, Harry Maschere, Lawrence Kemp, Albert Gremmer, Gilbert French and Joseph Parker.

Brooks was the son on Mr. and Mrs. James E. Brooks.

He was born at Palermo, N.D., Aug. 15, 1911.

He came with his parents to Custer more than three years ago.

Three brothers and a sister also survive him.

The body was recovered from the river Sunday by W.E. Penrod, deputy sheriff after it had been located by Howard Butler and Charles Fowler.
