She was a native of Emanuel County and a resident of Bryan County for 50 years. She was the widow of Roan Lightfoot Sr. and Charles L. Strickland Sr. She retired from Union Camp Corp. after more than 30 years. She was a founding member of First Baptist Church of Ellabell, where she was the first treasurer and served as substitute pianist and a choir member. She was a member of Senior Citizens of Pembroke and the Union Camp Retired Employees Association.
SURVIVORS: sons, Henry Lightfoot of Conyers, Phillip Levi Lightfoot of Pembroke and Billy Ray Lightfoot of Savannah; 11 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, a great-great-grandchild and a number of nieces and nephews.
VISITATION: 6-8 p.m. today at McLamb-Morrison Funeral Home in Pembroke.
SERVICE: 10 a.m. Friday at First Baptist Church of Ellabell, burial in New Hope Cemetery in Emanuel County.
