Ellabell - Charles Lee Strickland, 81, died Wednesday at Candler General Hospital in Savannah from injuries in an auto accident earlier this year. The Bryan County native was a retired carpenter of Shuman-Owen Supply in Pembroke and a member of Bryan County Primitive Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Fleetie Phillips Strickland of Ellabell; two sons, Charles L. Stricklan Jr. of Pembroke and Glenn G. Strickland of Big Spring, Texas; four stepsons, Weyman and Phillip I. Lightfoot, both of Savannah, Henry Lightfoot of Lithonia and Billy R. Lightfoot of Midway; two daughters, Mrs. Lucy S. Williamson of Louisville and Mrs. Ouida S. Procter of Pembroke; and 16 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Funeral: 2 p.m. Friday at Bryan County Primitive Baptist Church, burial in Ellabell Methodist Church Cemetery. Morrison Funeral Home of Pembroke.
