Unidentified clipping from the family scrapbook of Richard Evans LEWIS [1829-1894]:
ACCIDENTAL POISONING. -- James Robert Laymance, a young man of nineteen years of age, son of I. C. Laymance of Dry creek, came to a sad death last Sunday morning. On the 22d of last month he took a drink from a bottle containing corrosive sublimate for poisoning bed bugs, thinking it was wine. Dr. Piper rendered all the medical aid possible, but the draught had been too potent and the young man's sufferings could be relieved only by death. He was buried on Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock.
