Our beloved sister, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Shirley DeLaCruz passed away on Sunday, February 8, 2009. She had been sick for awhile. She was surrounded by family at her passing. Shirley was born on January 7, 1929 on a farm in western state of Missouri. She married her late husband, Angel DeLaCruz on February 5, 1955. Of this union six boys were born. To remember and honor their parents are Joseph Sr., Rudybill, Billy Joe, Ricky, Robert Sr. and Kenneth; sixteen grandchildren, twenty two great grandchildren, four sisters, two brothers; and many nieces and nephews, in-laws and friends. Shirley has joined her husband Angel, her parents, one sister, three brothers, and one grandson, Rudy Jr. Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm on Friday, February 13, 2009 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home South Congress. Funeral service will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Saturday, February 14, 2009 at Weed-Corley-Fish Chapel South Congress. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
