MRS. SAMUEL SMITH,
Aged 58 years, died very suddenly at her home in Potetown, four miles south of Roaring Spring, at 9 o'clock Friday morning. Death followed a sunstroke, sustained on Thursday while she was engaged in working in the little garden in the rear of the Smith home. The stricken woman was removed to the house and a physician summoned. She was a daughter of Michael Pote and was born in 1858. She is survived by her husband, one son Jacob, and two daughters, Mrs. Amanda Claar of Potetown and Mrs. Edna Showalter of Plum Creek. The funeral will be held on Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock with services in the Holsinger Brethren church in Bedford county. Interment in the Holsinger cemetery.
