SAMUEL D. SMITH
Aged resident of Bloomfield, died this morning at the home of his son Jacob Smith. He had been in failing health for some time but had only been in a serious condition during the past week. He was born July 13, 1855, at Bellwood. Surviving are three children, Jacob Smith, at whose home he died, Mrs. Amanda Ream of Lewistown and Mrs. Edna Showalter of Potetown, and eight grandchildren. The funeral cortege will leave the Smith home Tuesday afternoon at 1.30 o'clock and proceed to the Holsinger church where services will be conducted. Interment will be made in the church cemetery.
