She was born April 6, 1913 in Albany, Indiana, and was an Anderson resident for 70 years.
She was a homemaker. She was an accomplished seamstress and was an instructor at Singer Sewing Center.
She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. She loved needlework of all kinds, crocheting, knitting, embroidery, etc. Crystal always care for others, loved to have a good time, enjoyed fishing, gardening and penny anti poker. She was very well-known for her cooking and baking. She loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren so much that she always had little handmade gifts when she saw them.
She is survived by her daughter, Catherine Manghelli; two sons, Robert ''Duke'' Manghelli and Maurice ''Moe'' Manghelli; eleven grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband whom she married October 10, 1930 at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Marion, Robert S. Manghelli; second husband, Lowell Leonard; parents, Frank and Mary (Rutledge) Westervelt; two daughters, Diane King and Mary E. Brown; and two brothers.
Services will be Friday, September 30, 2005 at 9:00 AM, at Robert D. Loose Funeral Home, North Chapel, with Rev. Robert Williams officiating.
Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery - Elwood.
