Mrs. J. B. Shearer Dies In Birmingham.
Mrs. J. B. Shearer died in Birmingham Aug. 12th, at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. John Bracato, 1409-12th Ave., N. She is survived by her husband, one daughter, Mrs. Bracato, and two sons, Ernest W., with the Republic Iron & Steel Co., and Jesse H., with the real estate firm of Oliver, Shearer & Roebuck. The funeral service at the residence was conducted by Rev. Brascomb. Presiding Elder of the Birmingham district, and Rev. J. Morris, of Fountain Heights. The interment was at Elmwood Cemetery. She had been an invalid eight years, her death was not unexpected, yet a great shock to her loved ones. She was born, raised and married here in LaFayette, and was the eldest sister of Misses Susie and Gussie Pate.
