Mrs. Dorothy Viola Gerber, 81, , of Route 2, Box 134, died in a local nursing home Friday.
A native of Illinois, she was a resident of Texarkana for the past 33 years.
Survivors include five sons. Myron Gerber of Amarillo and D. 0., 0. G., H. E., and R. A. Gerber of Texarkana; two sisters, Mrs. Bertha Creig and Mrs. Clara Creig of Olney,Ill.; a brother, Fred S. Beck of Olney; 14 grandchildren. and 22 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at the East Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. F. R. Petty, Jr., officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be grandsons of Mrs. Gerber and will include Vernon, Carl, Ralph, Roger, Nicky, Pat, Kenneth and 0. J. Gerber, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be friends of the family.
