Wanetta Shreeve, age 94, of Berne and formerly of Portland passed away Sunday September 11, 2022 in Swiss Village in Berne. She was born in Portland on November 4, 1927 the daughter of Floyd and Lola (Pogue) Franklin. She was married on August 25, 1948 to Virgil R. Shreeve and he passed away on November 8, 2018. Wanetta had worked in the Publix Administrative Office in Lakeland, Florida and also had worked for Marsh and Kroger. She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church and was a Sunday School teacher.

Surviving are two daughters Marilyn Walker (husband Carl) of Pennville and Debra Jones (husband Kerry) of Berne, one sister Ruth Howard of Guntersville, Alabama, Two grandchildren Jeni Binegar of Denton Montana and Josh Walker of Pennville, Four Great Grandchildren Zach Binegar (wife Olivia) of Bluffton, Trent Binegar of Montpelier, Hayden Walker of Pennville and Hannah Walker of Pennville.

Private family services will be held. Burial will be in the Salamonia Cemetery. Baird-Freeman Funeral Home are handling the arrangements. Memorials can be made to Asbury United Methodist Church.
