Mr. HOWARD ELLSWORTH COOPER, 82, of 1302B Rosemont Drive, Knoxville, died Monday, Sept. 23, at Western Maryland Hospital, Hagerstown. He was the husband of the late Minnie Watts Cooper. Born Nov. 15, 1902, in Brunswick, Mr. Cooper was a son of the late Herbert and Lillie Orrison Cooper.

He was a retired dispatching foreman with the B&O Railroad, Brunswick; a member of the New York Hill United Methodist Church, Brunswick; and the Brunswick Senior Citizens.

Surviving are two sons, Howard M. Cooper, Knoxville; and Thomas E. Cooper, Silver Spring; three sisters, Marion Miller, Bethesda; and Elsie and Helen Cooper, both of Brunswick; Newton Cooper, Berryville, VA; and the Rev. Austin Cooper, Frederick; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchilden.

Funeral services were held at New York Hill United Methodist Church, Brunswick; interment was in Park Heights Cemetery, Brunswick.
