Mrs. Lutie Hyink Expires at Sibley, Rites Here Monday

Mrs. Lutie [Louisa] McCorkell Hyink, 72, a resident of LeMars for 42 years before moving to Sibley two years ago, died Saturday, Aug. 28 [1954] at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Kenneth Sol in Sibley. She had been in ill health several months.

Funeral Services were held at Mauer's funeral home Monday at 2:30 p.m. Officiating were Rev. Ralph Beebe of Sibley and Rev. James Ransom of the First Presbyterian Church LeMars. Burial was in the city cemetery.

Lutie McCorkell was born Dec. 18, 1881 at Dallas County, Iowa. The family moved to Portland Township Plymouth County when she was a child. She married William Walter Hyink at Akron, Nov. 6. 1907. He died in 1949.

Surviving are two daughters and a son; Mrs. Nobel (Wilma) Sack of Portland, Ore., Mrs. Kenneth (Kathleen) Sol of Sibley, and Donald of Pittsburgh, Pa.

Other survivors include 10 grandchildren and two brothers, Walter McCorkell of Eureka, Calif. and Joseph McCorkell of Akron.
