Rosalie "Berniece" Kyger Smith, 75, died at 10:42 AM Tuesday, Sept. 21, 1993, in Lafayette Home Hospital. Born Aug. 19, 1918, at Danville, IL, she grew up at Westville, IL, and spent most of her adult life in California. In December, 1971, she married William C. Smith at San Luis, CA; he died in March 1980. Mrs. Smith had been secretary for a dairy operation while living in California. She moved to Lafayette from Alameda, CA, nine years ago.

Survivng are four brothers, Earl Franklin Kyger of Danville, George Russell Kyger, James Kyger, both of Lafayette, and Robert Kyger of Crawfordsville; two sisters, Lucille Biava of Danville and Alice Starnes of Crawfordsville; also several nieces and nephews. Two brothers, Walter and Fred Kyger, preceded in death.
