Born in Plains Township, she was the daughter of the late Nathan and Bessie Keir Ross.
She graduated from the former Plains High School and the Wilkes-Barre Business College.
She was a guest at the Heritage House since 1986, and prior to that she resided on Maffett Street in Plains Township for most of her life.
Before retiring in 1970, she was employed as a secretary at the former Nesbitt Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in Kingston for many years.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Wilkes-Barre.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gavin in 1964; sisters, Mrs. Isabel Evans, Mrs. Margaret Bisher and Mrs. Jean Davies; a brother, Nathan Ross.
Surviving are a niece, Mrs. Jean McGarty, Ann Arbor, Mich., and cousins.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday from the Hugh B. Hughes & Son, Inc., Funeral Home, 1044 Wyoming Ave., Forty Fort, with her pastor, the Rev. Robert M. Zanicky, officiating.
Interment will be in Oaklawn Cemetery.
