Mrs. Margaret Bisher, 92, formerly of Maffett St., Plains, died Monday evening, May 30, 1988, in Mercy Hospital, Wilkes-Barre, following an illness.
Born in Plains, she was the daughter of the late Nathan and Bessy Kier Ross. Mrs. Bicker was a graduate of Plains High School. She had been a guest at Heritage House, Wilkes-Barre, since 1986. Prior to that time, she had resided in Plains all her life. Before her retirement, she was employed as a clerk by the Globe Store and was later employed by the former Sheldon Axle Co. for many years.
Her husband, Lee Grand Bisher, preceded her in death in 1971. A son, Ross, also preceded her in death. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Wilkes-Barre.
Surviving are sisters, Mrs. Isabel Evans and Mrs. Elizabeth Barr, both of Wilkes-Barre, nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. from the Hugh B. Hughes and Son Inc. Funeral Home, 1044 Wyoming Ave., Forty Fort, with the Rev. Charles J. Hooker, Jr. officiating.
Interment will be Oaklawn Cemetery, Hanover Township. Friends may call Thursday 1 p.m. until service time.
