S. B. Cornwell, 76, of Scottsville diedat 3:21 a.m. Friday, January 4, 2013 at the Commonwealth Regional Specialty Hospital in Bowling Green. The Scottsville, KY native was an employee of Rivendell, farmer, retired employee of General Electric and member of Shady Grove General Baptist Church. He was a son of the late Henry Bennett Cornwell and Margie Odell Sledge Cornwell.



He is survived by his wife: Sue Shockley Cornwell, Scottsville, KY;

1 son: Greg Cornwell, Scottsville, KY;

2 daughters: Karen Briley and Catina Cooper and husband, Timothi, all of Scottsville, KY;

1 brother: Ray "Buck" Cornwell and wife, Karen, Scottsville, KY;

3 sisters: Wilma West and husband, David, and Pansy Powell, all of Scottsville, KY; Ida Pearl McGuffey and husband, Jr., Bowling Green, KY;

10 grandchildren: Jesse Elmitt; Cody, Wyatt and Levi Cooper; Justin and Tyler Briley; Amanda McBride, Nicholas Cornwell, Sarah Cooper and Brittany Tzoras;

6 great grandchildren: Bianka and Ty Tzoras; Braxton Williams; Alex and Lilah McBride and one unborn great grandchild;

Special friends: Cliff and Penny Davis, Scottsville, KY.

He was preceded in death by 1 daughter: Vickie Gale Elmitt; 3 brothers: William Henry Cornwell, Ronnie Cornwell and Timothy Allen Cornwell; 3 sisters: Joyce Plumlee, Barbara Norman and Martina Lucas.



Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at Goad Funeral Home with Bro. Kimble Willoughby and Bro. Eddie Tabor officiating and burial in Liberty Cemetery. Visitation will be after 4:00 p.m. Sunday at Goad Funeral Home.
