Mrs. Biddison Dies
Mrs. James Biddison died in St. Mary's hospital, Sparta, on April 21, after a severe illness. She was formerly Miss Mary Ellen Crook, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Crook of Vernon Co. In 1883 she married James Biddison. The young couple immediately established their home on a farm near Sparta, where they resided until 1907, when they moved into Sparta, where their home has since been. Mrs. Biddison was the mother of four children, a son Earl, of this city, and three daughters, Mrs. John Grutsch of Sparta, Mrs. Walter Ellis of Clifton, and Miss Ethel Biddison, residing at home. These with the husband and father; four grandchildren, two sisters, four brothers and numerous other relatives survive her. On March 16, Mrs. Biddison was taken to the hospital, where a few days later, an operation was performed. This revealed a case too far gone, for any benefit to be derived from surgical interference. Funeral services were held in the M. E. church Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, conducted by her pastor, Rev. E. E. Horth. The Ladies Aid Society, the Plus Ultra class, the Royal Neighbor Lodge, all of which organizations, she was a member, attended in a body. The interment was in Mt. Hope cemetery, at which place the Royal Neighbors conducted their ritual service.
