MARJORIE BELL CAID, age 89, died Friday, January 4, 2013, at her residence in rural Charleston.

She was born September 1, 1923 in Leslie, AR to the late Hughie and Arkie King Rains. Moving from Mountain View, OK, she had lived in Mississippi County since 1956. She was a member of the New Bethel Baptist Church where she served in various positions in Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, Women's Missionary Union, and especially enjoyed working in the kitchen cooking for fellowship and bereavement meals.

On December 1, 1945 she married Wilbur Caid who preceded her in death on June 30, 2007.

Surviving are three sons and three daughters in law, Vearl Daniel and Diane Caid of Ponca City, OK, Earl David and Patti Caid of Lake Panasoffkee, FL, and Daryle Wayne and Mary Caid of Charleston; three brothers, Rudolph Rains, Mitchell Rains and Braxten Rains all of Leslie, AR; one sister, Greeba Gail Shaw of Cuba; seven grandchildren, Branden (Laurie) Caid, Susan (Kevin) Adkins, Laura (Jay) Glowacki, Alison (Darren) Steele, Amanda (Kenny) Eftink, Tina (Aaron) Griffith and Tommy Morie; 23 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Two brothers, Clifton Rains and Ralph Rains, and two sisters, Marene Shaw and an infant baby, preceded her in death.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Monday, January 7, 2013 the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. Funeral Services will be conducted at the New Bethel Baptist Church at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 8, 2013 with Rev. Ted Wimberley, Pastor, officiating.

Interment will follow in the IOOF Cemetery under direction of McMikle Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Branden Caid, Kenny Eftink, Jay Glowacki, Darren Steele, Preston Eckert, and Aaron Champlin.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the New Bethel Baptist Church, 731 N. 407th Road, Charleston, MO 63834.
