Alda J. Froslie, age 93, of Sioux Falls, SD, formerly of Webster, SD, passed away on Thursday, December 27, 2012 at the Good Samaritan Society Village of Sioux Falls. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, December 31, 2012 at the Calvary Lutheran Church in Wallace with the Reverend Scott Dempster officiating. The soloist will be Bethany Froslie accompanied by Michelle Ewing. Lisa Bjerke will be the pianist. Interment will be in St. Pauli Lutheran Cemetery, near Wallace, SD. Visitation will be from 2-5 p.m. Sunday at the Wight, Comes & Sogn Funeral Chapel in Watertown and on Monday prior to the services at the church.

Pallbearers will be Bob Nygaard, Bryan Nelson, Allen Bjerke, Howard Paulson, Gordon Froslie, Ryan Lamer and Riley Conklin.

Alda June Froslie was born on June 15, 1919 to Ivrin and Lydia (Docken) Rislov in Sherman, SD. She was baptized at the Highland Lutheran Church in Sherman and was confirmed into the lutheran faith in Jasper, MN. She attended Rock County, Minnesota School District #70.

Alda married Gordon Froslie on April 20, 1941 in the Bergan Lutheran Church, rural South Shore, SD and the couple farmed south of Webster, SD. In 1976 Alda moved to Sioux Falls where she worked at Augustana College Huddle for one year, Christian Center Daycare for 12 years and then at Gwen's Daycare from 1990-2003.

She was a member of St. Pauli Lutheran Church and Ladies Aide. She also sang in the church choir and taught Sunday School. She enjoyed spending time with her family and going on family trips, camping, gardening and collecting dolls.

Alda was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gordon who died on June 4, 1963; her brother, Leland Rislov; and five sisters, Irene Albertson, Esther Zembrycki, Hilma Paulson, Olga Thompson and Mabelle Nelson.

She is survived by her sons, Gary (Betty) Froslie of Sioux Falls, SD, Mike (Kathy) Froslie of Monticello, MN and Rick Froslie of Webster, SD; her daughter, Gwen (Gary) Conklin of Sioux Falls, SD; her brothers, Wallace (Mildred) Rislov of Cooperstown, ND and Donald (Betty) Rislov of Watertown, SD; eight grandchildren, Michelle (Dusty) Ewing, Gordon (Nicole) Froslie, Bethany Froslie, Bev (Dan) Johnson, Sandra (Ryan) Lamer, Katrinka Conklin, Riley Conklin and Danielle Conklin; and seven great grandchildren.
