Anna M. Eiswerth, 81, of Trout Run, died at home on Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012, while surrounded by family.

Anna was born in Williamsport on Aug. 24, 1931, a daughter of Kenneth and Merion Snyder Miller.

She had many talents: hand-painting pictures for all of her children, loved to do floral arrangements, craft and woodworking, a wonderful home decorator and loved to entertain guests. Anna enjoyed gardening, camping and spending time at the river with her family. She loved to be surrounded by her children and considered her greatest achievement to be her children.

Anna had been employed at the former GTE Sylvania in Montoursville and spent 18 years as a nanny for the family of Claude and Lois Williams.

Surviving are her husband of 64 years, Paul G. Eiswerth; eight children, Kenneth (Glenda) Eiswerth of Trout Run, Carl (Mary Ellen) Eiswerth of Williamsport, Debbie (Corky) Wasson of Trout Run, Merion Eiswerth of Trout Run, Paul (partner Mark Saab) Eiswerth Jr. of Pittsburgh, Michael (Michele) Eiswerth of N.Y., William (companion Deb) of Lancaster, James (Christine) Eiswerth of Sweet Valley; 18 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and a nephew, Mark Derr.

A sister, Shelby Derr, preceded her in death.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 4, 2013, at St. Joseph the Worker Parish, 702 W. Fourth St., Williamsport, followed by burial at St. Michael's Lutheran Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the Crouse Funeral Home, 133 E. Third St., Williamsport, from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday evening with a prayer service at 8:30 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions may be made to Susquehanna Foundation, for the benefit of Susquehanna Hospice, 1001 Grampian Blvd., Williamsport, PA 17701.

Wizen, honest, proud and true, her love for family, friends, adventure and laughter will be fondly remembered and missed.
