Last of 11 children of John Luddy (1837 – 1899) and Hanora Dwyer (1845 – 1920), from Ireland. Leo married Margaret Mary Sheehan (1897 – 1952), of Albany, NY. They had two children:
Robert Peter Luddy 1932 – 1963
Janet Luddy 1938 –

Leo served in WWI in France achieving the rank of 2nd Lt. Afterwards he worked in a men's clothing store. Eventually he opened his own haberdashery - "Luddy's" in Albany. Margaret ran the store after Leo's death.

Leo A. Luddy, 53, of Albany, formerly of Cambridge, April 3.
