Obituary: "KANE--In this city, October 22, 1918, Mary V., beloved wife of Patrick H, Kane, idolized mother of Helen, Dolores, and Bernardine Kane, and loving sister of Mrs. H. Costello of Portland, Or., Mrs. Robert Dunn of Center, N.D.: J.G. Maloney of Underwood, N.D.; Richard T. James and Frank Maloney of Waseca, Minn., a native of Faribault, Minn. The funeral will take place Thursday at 10 o'clock, from the chapel of Theo. Dierks & Co., corner McAllister and Divisadero sts. Interment, private." (San Francisco Chronicle" Oct 23, 1918)

Obituary: "R.C. Maloney of Iosco received a telegram yesterday informing him that his sister, Mrs. Patrick Kane, had just passed away at her home in San Francisco, Cali. She had been a resident there the past 15 years. A letter received a day or two ago told of the family all being well and the news of her death came as a great surprise.
