AGED WOMAN IS STRICKEN

Mrs. McKenzie, the wife of "Uncle Dan" McKenzie, is lying in critical condition at the family home on McKenzie Street, as a result of a stroke of paralysis last Thursday night. Mrs. McKenzie is 78 years old and grave fears are held that she will not recover. Mr. McKenzie was awakened in the night and found his wife lying speechless and almost rigid. She has been unable to speak since.

"Uncle Dan" has been in ill health all fall but has recovered sufficiently to be able to be out and around their home.

Harry McKenzie seems doubly afflicted. In addition to the serious illness of his mother, his home is quarantined, for his little daughter, 8 years old, has scarlet fever, and while her condition is not regarded as dangerous, it is serious enough to cause the family much uneasiness and the quarantine is causing them much inconvenience.
