In 1837, Samuel Lucas Demarest & family left Steuben County, New York and settled in Otisco, Iona County, Michigan.
In 1855, Oct. 14, in Michigan, married Abram I Satterlee.
She bore 7 children:
l856, Sept. 21 Emmett Jay Satterlee in Mi.
l859, Mar. 23 Emogene Sophrona Satterlee in Mi.
l863, Apr. 23 John Abram Satterlee in Mi.
l865, Feb. 28 Sherman Lloyd Satterlee in Mi. (lived only 1 year and 7 months, died in Mo.)
Sometime between l865 & l866 Abram Isaac Satterlee & wife, Susan Frances (Demarest), with their 4 oldest children and her father, left Greenville, Mich., settled for a time in New Michigan- (later called Indian Creek, Quiver Township, Audrian Co. Missouri.
l869, Oct. 17 Twins born in in Indian Creek-New Mich., Quiver Twp.Audrian, Near Mexico, Mo.
Judson Satterlee d- 7 Nov-l869- (lived about 3 weeks).
Jason Satterlee d. 27-Apr-l870 (lived over 6 months).
l875, May 21 Anna May Satterlee in Mo.
Later they lived for a time in Vandalia, Missouri.
From there the family went to Ulysses, Grant Co., Kan., where "Abe" took up a homestead, which became their oldest daughter‘s farm, Mrs. Edward F. Towler;
In 1891, Abram died. After that loss, Susan F. Satterlee took her youngest daughter Anna May, back to Greenville, Mich., where they lived with Susan's brother, David Lyman Demarest until l892.
In 1892, Anna May with her mother moved back to New York, near Glens Falls, and Anna May married grocer Ashton Hartman. Susan Frances Demarest Satterlee lived with her daughter there until she died in l92l, and is buried in the Bay Street Cem., in Glens Falls NY.
