Betty A. Crose, 82, of Chillicothe passed away at 5:25 p.m. on Wednesday, March 20, 2013, at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria.
Betty was born on Sept. 8, 1930, to Allen and Gladys (Adams) James.
She married James Crose on March 31, 1948. He preceded her in death in 2010.
Her parents, Gladys and Allen James; two brothers, Richard and Earl; and two sisters, Mary and Norma, also preceded her in death.
Surviving are her children, Jim (Carolyn) Crose of Chillicothe, Cindy (Allen) Ginger of Chillicothe, Todd (Roxana) Crose of Princeville and Steve (Juanita) Crose of Dover, Tenn. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Surviving siblings are Bill James, Opal Westerman, Frank James, Joyce King, Vern James and Jim James, all of Chillicothe.
Betty enjoyed playing bingo, bunco, cards, her Cubs and all her family and friends.
A memorial visitation will be held Sunday, March 24, 2013, from 4 until 6 p.m. at Weber-Hurd Funeral Home in Chillicothe. The Rev. Randy William will officiate. Inurnment will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 25, 2013, in the Chillicothe City Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Chillicothe VFW 4999 or Rescue 33 in Chillicothe.
