BILL McDANIEL
March 17, 1918 ~ August 14, 2004

Funeral services for Wright City resident Bill McDaniel, 86, were this morning at Spirit Rock Church, Millerton. Troy Ruffin officiated. Burial followed in Slater Cemetery, Wright City, under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home, Valliant.

McDaniel died Saturday at Broken Bow. A carpenter, he was a member of Spirit Rock Church.

Mcdaniel was born March 17, 1918, in Polk County, Ark., the son of James Burton McDaniel and Vertie (Williams) McDaniel. He had lived in the Wright City area for 28 years. He married Elga Elizabeth "Jimmie" Hopkins on Oct. 18 (Sic), 1947. She preceded him in death on Feb. 2, 1999.

He was also preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Inez Coleman and Faye McDaniel; and four brothers, Bert McDaniel Jr., Floyd McDaniel, Earl McDaniel and Mutt McDaniel.

Survivors include one son, Marshal McDaniel of Arkansas; three daughters, Marquita Perrin, Wright City, Carol Womack, Valliant, and Wanda Tholborn, Stockton, Calif.; six brothers, Charles McDaniel, Archie McDaniel and Gary McDaniel, all of Broken Bow, Jimmy McDaniel, Vandever, Ark., Jerry McDaniel, Millerton, and Larry McDaniel of Georgia; two sisters, Pauline Griffin, Garvin, and Willie Hudson, Wynnewood; and six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
