Araminta and Theodore had seven children: Raymond Eugene, Mary Virginia, James Bernard, Ursula Marie, Donald Louis, Dorothy Louise and Phillip Irvin. Donald and Dorothy were twins.
They lived and worked on the farm that Theodore's father, James Irvin, had bought shortly before he died. They were forced to move when the federal government bought the land for Camp Breckenridge. They were paid $89 per acre. Theodore and Araminta then bought a house in Henderson at 322 North Adams Street. -Karen Neeley Thomas
Obit-MARY ARAMINTA THOMAS, 86 of Henderson died at 7:40 a.m. Monday at Nazareth Home in Louisville.
Survivors include four sons; three daughters; one sister, Sister Joseph Ursula of Maple Mount; 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic church. The Revs. E.E. Willett and John Speaks will officiate. Burial will be in St. Louis Cemetery.
Friends may call at Benton-Glunt Funeral after 2 p.m. today and until service time Wednesday, where prayers will be said at 7 this evening.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Nazareth Home in Louisville.
