Mrs. Margaret Ann Zeigler, 79, died at 6:15 p.m. Thursday, October 14, 1965 in Allenport at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Evelyn Wallace, with whom she resided. She had been in failing health for the past several years.

A native of Juniata County, she was born August 15, 1897 to Benjamin F. and Margaret Ann Stong. On April 25 , 1914, she was married to Harry Foster Zeigler at the Lutheran Parsonage in Mifflintown by the Rev. E. M. Morgan. Her husband preceded in death in August of 1967.

Surviving are eight children; Mrs. Andrew (Emma) Runk, Hempstead, N.Y.; Mrs. Edward (Mildred) Sterling, California; Ralph, Sparks, Nev.; George and Robert, both of Mount Union; Mrs. Evelyn Wallace, Allenport, Mount Union, R.D.; David, Dry Run, R.D. and Ed. Saltillo. One son and one daughter are deceased. There are 22 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.

One brother, Benjamin and eight half-brothers and half-sisters preceded in death.

Mrs. Zeigler was of the Methodist faith.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, October 18, from the Heath funeral home in Mount Union. The Rev. David B. Reams will officiate and burial will be in the Mount Union IOOF Cemetery.

Friends will be received at the funeral home from noon to 9 p.m. Sunday and on Monday from 9 a.m. until time for services.
