Greenwood SC - William Elbert Pickell, 58, mechanic, died at his home Thursday after a brief illness. He was born in the Kirksey section of the county, a son of Mrs. Annie Faulkner Pickell, and the late W. Rufus Pickell. He lived in Greenwood for 22 years and was a member of Mountain Creek Church. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Nancy Dominick Pickell; two sons, William Elbert, Jr. and Samuel D. Pickell, Greenwood; three grandchildren; his mother, Mrs. W. R. Pickell of Greenwood; three sisters, Mrs. J. B. Bock of Durham NC, Mrs. William M. Barnes of Columbia and Mrs. W. R. Dinton of Camden; three brothers, Thomas Pickell of Columbia, and James E. Pickell and J. Frank Pickell of Greenwood; and a number of nieces and nephews. Interment in Rehoboth Methodist Church Cemetery. Blyth Funeral Home.
