Bisabuela, no recuerdo haberte conocido pero he visto muchas fotos tuyas.

Pilar Del Rosario y González was the wife of Nicandro García y Morales from Aguadilla, Puerto Rico. They lived in Isabela, Puerto Rico.
They had 10 children: Nicandro Julián, Mariano, Cándida del Pilar, Mariano Raimundo, Carlos, Ercilia, Luis, María del Pilar, Miguel Angel and Raúl García y Del Rosario.
She was the daughter of Carlos del Rosario y Maisonet from Yauco, Puerto Rico and Julia González y Romero from Aguada, Puerto Rico.
My great grandmother Pilar, a pillar of her family, I don't remember meeting you, but I have seen several photos of you. One of your daughters, my grandmother Candita, made sure that we all knew about you. You were a wonderful mother who guided her 10 children with love and care.
I was there when one of your grandsons Joaquín, my beloved Tio Quín, died, and I will never forget having been a witness to a promise fulfilled by you. I remember now, as if it had just happened, that seconds before he died, unable to breathe or speak, he opened his eyes wide with a look of love and, looking over my shoulder, in his last breath exclaimed "Abuelita!". I knew at that moment that, just as my abuelita had told me, you had come to greet him into his new life. As painful as it was to let him go, it was a huge relief to witness that now he was in your arms. From my arms to yours...
Hope to meet you when it's my time to go!
