Mrs. Emily Newkirk, 94, of Vancouver, Wash., for formerly of Williston, died April 18 in Vancouver.

Her funeral service will be held at the Everson Memorial Chapel at 2 p.m. Friday, April 27, with Pastor R. G. Garland officiating and interment at Riverview Cemetery.

Emily Grace Greenup was born Dec. 27, 1884 to the Rev. and Mrs. W. A. Greenup in Wrights Town, Minn. In 1903, she married Conrad Milton Scott in Larimore, N.D.

They moved to Williston in 1923. Mr. Scott died in 1953. In 1955 she married Albert Newkirk in Williston. They moved and made their home in Vancouver, Wash. Where she lived until her death. Mr. Newkirk died in 1972.

Survivors are one daughter, Mrs. Leona Fossum of Santa Cruz, Calif., two sons, Conrad A. Scott, Portland, Ore., and Myron D. "Slim" Scott of Williston, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Minerva Lawhead, Vancouver, Wash.

She was preceded in death by one son, Norville W. "Skip" Scott.
