Bonnie Neome (Boone) Summerfield, 94, formerly of Dunlap, Iowa, died on Tuesday, September 21, 2010, at the Parson's House in Omaha, Neb.
She was born May 21, 1916, to Robert and Katherine (Young) Boone in Woodbine, Iowa. Bonnie married Walter Summerfield on February 24, 1943, in Denison, Iowa. Bonnie was a country school teacher, and worked at the Dunlap Co-op. Walter died on December 30, 1990.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Walter Summerfield; four brothers, George, Dean, John and Charles Boone; and two sisters, Wahneeta McDaniel and Kathleen (Betty) Royer.
She is survived by her four children, Barbara (Dick) Hanny, of Council Bluffs, Marla Barry, of Omaha, Dale Summerfield, of Woodbine, Iowa, Marcia (Ron) Nelson, of Omaha; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Thursday, September 23, 2010, with the family receiving friends from 5 to 8 p.m., at the Fouts Funeral Home in Woodbine. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m., Friday, at the funeral home.
