Alice Haynes explains that the actual death date was the 16 July 1958, on which date she (Alice Fiedler Haynes) was present because her only sister Janet (13 months apart) was being married in Ottumwa in the family's backyard; during the time that the celebrants were dining out, say the night before the wedding, Alice Graybill Bedinger passed.
