Funeral Services Held Today for Cora Mendenhall
Miss Cora Distler Mendenhall, 91, of RR2, Princeville, a former teacher in the Peoria school system, died Monday night, March 19 in her home.
Services were held at 2 pm _____ in the Bouton Hammitt Funeral Home with Rev. Francis Samuelson officiating. Burial was in Dickinson cemetery near Dunlap.
She was born in Peoria September 8, 1881, a daughter of John and Mary Robinson Distler. She married Lester Mendenhall in Peoria in 1909. He died in 1946.
Surviving is a daughter, Miss Lucile Mendenhall at home.
She was predeced in death by two daughters, a brother and two sisters.
Mrs. Mendenhall was a member of Jubilee Needle Circle and Friendly Circle.
She formerly taught in Peoria county schools and in Peoria Kellar grade school nine years.
