Dr. Gay A. Jones, 61; died Sunday morning at bis home in Huron of pneumonia. He had been a practicing physician there for twenty-five years up to the time of his death. He was a son of Judson Jones and was born in Huron. For many years he had been coroner and health officer of the town of Huron, which offices he held at the time of his death. He was a member of the Elks Lodge at Lyons, Masonic Lodge at Wolcott, Rebekah Odd Fellows and Canton Lodge at North Rose,being major general of the Canton Lodge at the time of his death. Besides his wife he leaves one daughter. Miss Maud Jones who is studying for a trained nurse in Washington, D.C , a sister, Mrs. Carrie Bailey, of Washington State and four brothers; Hugh and Gilbert Jones of Washington State, Bert Jones of New Hartford, N.Y. and Lewellyn Jones of Huron. The funeral will be held at 2 p. m. from the home, Thursday, Interment will be made in the Huron cemetery
